"I have always been fascinated by the biological systems and their functioning so I decided to study biotechnology at the University of Pune in India. Understanding these systems at the micro level only increased my curiosity. Furthering my education was a natural next step, and the flexibility of the MS in Biotechnology program offered at the NYU Tandon School of Engineering seemed like a perfect fit. Plus, I was thrilled to have the chance to study at one of the most prestigious research universities!

Soon after starting at the NYU Tandon School of Engineering, I received an opportunity to work in the field of protein engineering. This helped me see the endless possibilities available and I realized that I was at the right place. My laboratory experience, as well as my coursework, strengthened my professional portfolio. Plus, living in NYC always felt like being home. What better place to combine modern living and a strong education system! If I had to do it all over again, I would proudly come back to the NYU Tandon School of Engineering.

After an internship at Harvard Medical School and working at Siemens Healthcare Diagnostics, I am now ready to return to graduate school to further my education. The NYU Tandon School of Engineering inspired me to aim higher and work toward innovation, and I hope to start a new adventure in Fall 2016."
