Alon Hillel-Tuch is an Industry Assistant Professor of Computer Science and Engineering, where he teaches a variety of courses and mentors students in cybersecurity.

His research explores physical hardware security, computational intelligence, and the intersection of technology and society. Earlier in his career, he served as a Graduate Research Fellow at Columbia University's Advanced Consortium on Cooperation, Conflict & Complexity (AC4) at the Earth Institute, where he developed systems for collaborative practice in genocide-prevention networks. This interdisciplinary work informs his interest in ethical AI and resilience in socio-technical systems.

Hardware/embedded security, human–AI interaction and ethics, governance and societal impacts of frontier and emerging technologies, responsible innovation, ML & computational intelligence, cryptographic systems, and resilience in critical systems.

Beyond academia, Alon has spent more than eighteen years within the fields of emerging technology, entrepreneurship, regulation, and public policy. He co-founded RocketHub, one of the early global crowdfunding platforms, guiding it to a 2015 acquisition, and later became a managing partner at Stacked Capital, investing in deep-tech and frontier innovations.

He has testified twice as an expert witness before U.S. House subcommittees: on the implementation of the JOBS Act, balancing regulations within a digital interconnected world, and advocating for policies that support innovation while protecting stakeholders. He has advised organizations such as the Securities and Exchange Commission and FINRA on crowdfunding and digital asset policy, and continues to speak on topics ranging from AI and financial regulation to sustainable innovation and human behavior.
