General information about registering for classes
Getting Started
School of Engineering students register for courses online via Albert Student Center. Registration dates and deadlines are published in the NYU Academic Calendar. Browse available classes using course search or you may use the new beta public course search to view available classes.
- Undergraduate students register according to appointment dates prioritized by earned credits. Each undergraduate student must meet with his/her academic advisor prior to registration.

First-year undergraduate students at the School of Engineering should familiarize themselves with the overview of the first-year registration clearance process.

Transfer students should review the steps they must complete to be cleared for registration.

- Graduate students register according to the registration dates published in the academic calendar, and are required to meet with an academic advisor prior to registration for their first semester.
- Newly admitted Graduate students will be able to view courses in Albert following matriculation at the end of May. Registration will open in mid-June.
- Non-matriculated, Visiting, and High-School students must contact Undergraduate or Graduate Admissions prior to registration.

Classroom Information
School of Engineering courses are primarily held at our Brooklyn location in one of the following main academic buildings: Rogers Hall (RH), Jacobs Academic Building (JAB), Dibner Library (DIBN), or 2 Metrotech Center (2MTC). Students and professors may view classroom locations on their personalized class schedules via Albert Student Center.
