Sarmad is a Ph.D. candidate in the Machines in Motion lab. His research focuses on Inverse Reinforcement Learning and Imitation Learning.  He got his B.S. in 2015 from the K.N.Toosi University of Technology, working on intelligent tactile sensing for boundary detection of cancerous tumors embedded in soft tissues. His M.S. degree in design, simulation, and control of mobile robots for teaching purposes was granted in 2019 from Clarkson University, Potsdam, NY. His research interests include robotics, robot learning, and AI.
