NYU Abu Dhabi's Visiting Undergraduate Research Program

Overview

NYU Abu Dhabi's Visiting Undergraduate Research Program is a 4-week summer program that will allow you to get the opportunity to work closely with world-class faculty members and build their CV with invaluable research experience. While staying at NYU Abu Dhabi, you will:

The positions are unpaid but the costs (meals, housing, local transport and flight) associated with these positions will be covered via the Undergraduate Research Program at NYUAD. Positions should be full-time, for 35 hours per week. Students will follow University guidelines for Ramadan working hours.

Program dates

Online application period     May 21, 2018 - June 17, 2018

Eligibility

Excellent North American undergraduate students (who have completed 2 years of studies when starting at TUM) and graduate students are invited to apply.

Academic Prerequisites:

  • Undergraduate students enrolled full-time at NYU New York or NYU Shanghai
  • GPA minimum: 3.3 (on a 4.0 scale)
  • Completed credits: 44 minimum
  • Project-specific skills as mentioned in project descriptions
  • Position must be in line with students academic interests and declared majors
  • Students will be required to enroll in a zero-credit, pass/fail class and attend an orientation, as well as in-person weekly sessions.

Practical Research Experience Program (PREP) at the Technical University of Munich (TUM)

Overview

Practical Research Experience Program (PREP) is a 10-week summer program that will help you refine your research skills at one of Europe’s top-ranked technical institutions. While staying at the Technical University of Munich (TUM), you will:

  • Gain experience in research
  • Learn more about the German higher education landscape and industry
  • Become members of the diverse scientific community
