Sounds of New York City
For the past five years, Graham Dove, Charlie Mydlarz, Juan Pablo Bello, and Oded Nov have been conducting research for Sounds of New York City (SONYC) at CUSP, a large-scale noise-monitoring and mitigation project in NYC. A key focus of this research has been noise from construction, particularly construction that takes place at night or on weekends and therefore outside of normally permitted times, and are working on integrating and identifying several design opportunities for human-computer interaction.
