Clifton Charles, Individualized Clothing Host Sartorial Night

New York Knicks shooting guard Ronnie Brewer stopped by for a fitting. So did around 80 other men.

On Tuesday night, custom tailor Clifton Charles and Individualized Clothing sponsored Sartorial Night at a SoHo club offering guys a chance to get up close and personal with fine fabrics, fine scotch, personal care products and an opportunity to benefit breast cancer awareness month. Clifton Berry, co-founder of Clifton Charles, said he sold around 20 custom shirts, eight Clifton Charles suits and a couple of higher-priced dress shirts and suits from Holland & Sherry. A portion of the proceeds from the sales were donated to breastcancer.org.

“We were happy with the turnout,” said Berry. “We drew a great crowd of guys who dress well and are interested in suitings.”

Clifton Charles got its start as one of New York City’s sponsored business incubator firms under its Varick Street Incubator program that provides low-cost office space and training to emerging innovative technology companies.
