Join us to learn more about research and graduate life in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering (CBE) from current students, alumni, and faculty!

NYU, the largest private research university in the US, is a dynamic place to pursue your graduate studies. At the NYU Tandon School of Engineering, we are part of the major tech renaissance occurring in New York City — the 2nd fastest growing technology center in the country. In our department, we’re home to several startups making waves in sustainable manufacturing and biotechnology. Invention, innovation, and entrepreneurship are in our DNA. 

Our CBE Department is undergoing major growth and rejuvenation, having hired six new senior and junior faculty members in the last three years. with research interests spanning energy, bioengineering, and materials science. Our degrees prepare graduate students with the necessary skills to make positive contributions in academia, industry, consulting, finance, law, and medicine, among other fields. 

We are currently accepting applications for Fall 2021 for the following graduate programs: 

  • Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering

  • M.S. in Chemical Engineering

  • M.S. in Biotechnology 

  • M.S. in Biotechnology and Entrepreneurship
