Mentorship Programs

“One of the greatest values of mentors is the ability to see ahead what others cannot see and to help them navigate a course to their destination.” — John C. Maxwell

WoMentorship

The WoMentorship Program matches sophomore and junior undergraduate women with upper-class women, and first-year graduate women with second-year graduate women. Mentor and mentees meet at least four times each semester and engage in social activities, academic opportunities, and career and professional development. Mentors and their mentees independently plan one-on-one meetings and activities, and attend campus events and programs together.

  • Mentors are dynamic students who aid in the growth and progression of their mentees, academically and socially. Mentors also act as role models and lead by example, while serving as a link to student resources on both the Brooklyn and Washington Square campuses.
  • Mentees are students who are looking to further engage and learn from other women mentors within the Tandon community. Mentees sign up to receive the above benefits from mentors, while contributing to the development of these relationships and the overall success of growing a strong network of women in engineering at Tandon.

Applications for the WoMentorship Program are open each Fall and the program runs from October-December of each year. Applications for Fall 2023 will open in mid-September. For more information, please contact engagement.tandonstudentlife@nyu.edu
