Billy joined News Corp as global CISO in February 2021 from Wells Fargo Bank, where he served as Senior Vice President and Business Information Security Officer since 2015. In this role, he aligned to the global CTO while overseeing critical initiatives and comprehensive cyber risk mitigation for the global technology organization.
Prior to joining Wells Fargo, Billy held a number of cybersecurity leadership roles, including President Bush’s Director of Cybersecurity & Telecom Policy and Vice President Cheney’s Special Assistant for Homeland Security Affairs at the White House. He was also Director and Chief of Staff in Sony’s Global Information Security & Privacy division, as well as Management Consultant and Director of Operations for the Center for Security & Privacy Solutions at Deloitte & Touche, LLP.
Billy earned his MBA from Cornell University’s S.C. Johnson School of Management and his B.A. from the Jepson School of Leadership Studies at the University of Richmond. He resides in the greater Washington, DC area.
