Applying to a Master’s from Bridge

Students who complete this intensive Bridge course with a final grade of B+ or better will be eligible for admittance and a GRE waiver for any of the following NYU Tandon master’s degrees. Applicants will need to meet all other NYU Tandon master's degree requirements.

Students who receive a C or better will be eligible for admittance and a GRE waiver for the following NYU Center for Urban Science and Progress (CUSP) master’s degree. Applicants will need to meet all other NYU CUSP master's degree requirements. Students admitted to the Bridge who apply to CUSP should email Kristin Feliz kf50@nyu.edu to have their MS application put on hold.

Master’s application details:

  • The Summer application is for Online programs only.
  • Computer Science does not accept application for Spring semester, however, current Bridge students and qualifying Bridge alum (who receive a B+ or better) will be able to apply through a form that we provide.
  • The Applied Urban Science and Informatics degree starts in the Fall only. Please see the next semester available to apply for on this Bridge Program page.
  • Master’s applicants must submit an application and re-submit all transcripts (official transcript/s must be sent to Graduate Admissions directly from the issuing institution.)

When to submit your Master’s application:

The Spring and Fall master’s application opens each September. The Summer application opens each November. Please see the academic calendar above to see the next available Master’s application to apply to from your Bridge course.

Bridge students should apply to one of the qualifying master’s programs while they are still enrolled in the Bridge course, and submit all application materials except for the GRE, before the relevant MS application deadlines. Your MS application will be put on hold until you’ve completed the Bridge course. Your Bridge grade will be entered into your MS application. Should you receive a B+ or better your GRE requirement will be waived, and your grade will count toward your admission decision.

Your Bridge grade can be used toward any future master’s degree semester once you’ve completed the Bridge course.

Master’s application fee waiver:

Current Bridge students and qualifying alumni who received a B+ or better in the Bridge, should email tandon.online@nyu.edu to receive a Master’s application fee waiver code when they plan to apply. There is no fee to apply to CUSP.
