Market Strategy for Low-Carbon Power in Data Centers

Sustainability & Environment

The image depicts a white, modern data center server room. An overhead view shows repeating aisles of rack mounted compute cabinets, topped with service terminals, and grated cooling channels.

Project Type:
Technology Strategy

This project evaluated whether Carbon Capture, Utilization, and Storage (CCUS)-enabled gas power can serve as a commercially viable, 24/7 low-carbon electricity solution for U.S. hyper-scale data centers. To address the structural mismatch between rapid data center growth and intermittent renewable energy supply, the team analyzed market demand, economic competitiveness, and regulatory barriers across major regional hubs throughout the United States.
