Structures Lab
Description
The structural engineering lab is a shared instructional and research laboratory used for experiments in soil mechanics, the testing of structural elements, and investigation into building materials such as high tensile strength concretes. It includes four dynamic test frames ranging from 220 kips to a high-speed 22 kip system (capable of 20 Hz cyclic testing). An overhead 1-ton crane is available for moving samples around the lab.
