Bio:

Yanik Jhaveri, born and raised in Mumbai, India, is pursuing a major in Electrical Engineering and a minor in Finance at NYU Tandon. He is passionate about exploring the intersection of engineering and finance, aiming to combine technical innovation with financial strategy to create practical, real-world solutions.

As an Analyst Intern at the equity management firm RaRe Enterprises, Yanik gained in-depth exposure to the global renewable energy landscape, with a particular focus on India. He conducted research to identify emerging technologies that could enhance the economic viability of various renewable energy sources.

At NYU, Yanik serves on the leadership team of NYU Concrete Canoe, an eight-time championship-winning engineering team. Furthermore, he worked with the EXPOS Department as co-head editor of an anthology about literacy, democracy, and civic education. Recently, he began working as a contributing writer for Washington Square News. He is also the founder of Project Vridhi – a student-led endeavor to teach the underprivileged basic math, science, and English.

In his downtime, Yanik can enthusiastically talk for hours about watch collecting, Star Wars lore, and the intricacies of competitive Pokémon. He has a deep love for Bollywood music, and plays the tabla, an Indian classical percussion instrument, through which he connects with his cultural roots.
