Bio:

Shambhavi is a junior studying Business & Technology Management with a concentration in Finance, along with minors in Computer Science and Mathematics. Her academic interests have continued to grow at the intersection of business, technology, and quantitative problem-solving, which is why she chose to pursue both minors. She has recently been heavily invested in Duolingo, where she is learning Spanish, French, Japanese, and chess.

Shambhavi is involved in several organizations at NYU, including Theta Tau, where she serves as President, and Concrete Canoe, where she serves as Treasurer. She has also worked as a MakerSpace Teaching Assistant and is currently gaining professional experience as a Compliance Intern at Xenon Health. These experiences have helped her develop leadership, communication, organization, financial management, project management, and problem-solving skills. In the short term, she hopes to begin a career in finance, operations, technology, or consulting after graduation. In the long term, she hopes to combine business and technology to help organizations improve their operations, solve complex problems, and create meaningful impact. Through her leadership and teaching roles, she has also gained experience mentoring students, managing teams, and supporting her peers.

Shambhavi studied abroad at NYU Paris during Spring 2026, where she experienced living and learning in a different cultural environment while also traveling to 9 countries. The experience helped her become more independent, open-minded, and comfortable navigating new environments and perspectives. Through GLASS, she has continued exploring global perspectives through her coursework and experiences at NYU, including her time abroad. A meaningful addition to her profile is how studying in Paris and traveling throughout Europe broadened her understanding of different cultures and strengthened her interest in gaining international experience in her future career.

Being part of the GLASS program means having the opportunity to learn from different perspectives and connect academic interests to real-world global challenges. GLASS has encouraged Shambhavi to think beyond her own experiences and consider how challenges affect communities differently around the world. The global challenge that resonates most with her is innovation and sustainable infrastructure, particularly UN Sustainable Development Goal 9: Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure, because she is interested in how technology and innovation can help businesses and communities grow more efficiently and sustainably. She hopes to apply her background in business, technology, and finance in diverse and cross-cultural environments, collaborating with people from different backgrounds to develop practical and meaningful solutions.

Outside of school, Shambhavi enjoys doing taekwondo, reading, cooking/eating food, and completing paint-by-numbers.
