Global Challenge: Utilize emerging media to make quality education accessible and equitable
Bio:
Samantha is an undergraduate student at NYU Tandon, getting her Bachelor's in Integrated Design & Media and Minoring in Web Development and Applications. Originating from Mexico, she is passionate about utilizing emerging technologies to facilitate access to quality education and creating a more sustainable global society.
Involving herself in the Urban Food Lab and Wearable Art and Design vertically integrated projects, she continues to further her research in sustainable and practical applications for technology. Striving to pursue a career where she can make meaningful contributions towards decreasing education inequality.
Within the NYU community, she serves as an Adobe Student Ambassador, seeing the importance of fostering a community of learning and opportunity. She has also taken part in NYU’s Project Outreach, where she collaborated with organizations such as the Bronx is Blooming and SAGE to learn about and serve communities within the NYC area. She plans to continue her Leadership and community service efforts for a long time.
Outside of Academic Endeavors, you can find Samantha continuing to explore her interests in the arts, whether that be through reading, creating, or taking outside courses. She is always seeking ways to further her creative expression and integrate this passion into her professional goals.
