Global Challenge: Bridging Gaps in Technology and Innovation

Bio:

Ruhi is an undergraduate student at NYU Tandon, majoring in Mathematics and minoring in Computer Science. She was born in Australia but she has spent most of her life in Montgomery, New Jersey. She loves to try new food, read, travel and take photos around New York.

This past summer, she worked at Hoot Health, a healthcare technology startup, primarily supporting various teams with projects centered around artificial intelligence and data management. At NYU, she is a photographer for the Washington Square News where she photographs NYU events, restaurants, museums and more around New York City. She has also worked as an orientation leader for New Student Orientation at Tandon, welcoming students to the community.

Ruhi studied abroad at NYU Paris during Spring 2026 taking courses in mathematics, art history and French. Besides academics, Ruhi explored over 9 countries and traveled all across France. She highly recommends the experience, and particularly recommends studying abroad in France!

Ruhi enjoys being part of the GLASS program, particularly the global exposure and community that comes along with it. Through GLASS, she has had opportunities to contribute and learn across New York City and beyond. Her UN Sustainable Development Goals are focused on Decent Work and Economic Growth, Reduced Inequalities and Responsible Consumption and Production. In the future, she hopes to participate in more global programs in new places.

Along with photography, she loves to spend her free time reading and trying new food in the city. She is excited to partake in the study abroad program and interested in exploring the Cybersecurity and Data Science/AI/Robotics Areas of Excellence, with a mathematical focus.
