Global Challenge: Advance personalized learning

Bio:

I am a sophomore majoring in Mechanical Engineering at NYU Tandon School of Engineering. I am passionate about equitable education and forming a community of lifelong learners. I was born and raised in the Carolinas and have never lived outside of the South until college. After experiencing my first year in the city, I can safely say there’s nowhere else I’d rather be.

This past summer, I interned as an Energy Sustainability Engineer with the Piedmont Service Group in Raleigh. There, I gained hands-on experience with mechanical HVAC systems, energy conservation measures, and honed my skills in creating detailed Excel spreadsheets.

During the school year, I work as an independent tutor, helping high school students with Mathematics and Physics. Igniting a love for learning in young students keeps me passionate about my own educational journey and allows me to contribute to the new generation of young scientists. At Tandon, I’m also a member of Rogue Aerospace, where we build competitive rockets for an annual NASA launch.

In my free time, I enjoy crocheting and weightlifting. After a year of crocheting, I now sell and commission my own projects, blending creativity with craftsmanship.
