Global Challenge: Integration of Medical Technology in Developing Nations
Bio:
I am an Undergraduate student at NYU Tandon School of Engineering studying Computer Engineering. Originally from Nigeria, I’ve had the opportunity of growing up in several countries, including the United States. I’m passionate about creating social change and reducing inequalities, which I channel through leadership in everything I do.
At Tandon, I’m an active member of the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE), where I started as the Underclassman Representative and now serve as Membership Chair and on the Regional Membership Committee. Outside NSBE, I’m also involved with the African Student Union (ASU).
During the upcoming academic year, I’ll mentor incoming freshmen, engaging in weekly conversations about managing academics, getting involved on campus, professional and career development, and overall transitioning into the NYU lifestyle. I will carry this responsibility of being a mentor through my work as a General Engineering Teaching Assistant. Outside of academics, I love fashion and photography. I also enjoy documenting my everyday life on my camcorder and can’t wait to capture my journey in GLASS and my growth as a leader.
