Bio:
Ian is a sophomore pursuing a BS in Electrical Engineering at the NYU Tandon School of Engineering, with a strong passion for sustainable infrastructure. Born in Seoul, South Korea, and raised in Mississauga, Canada and Seattle, Washington, Ian brings a global perspective to their academic and extracurricular pursuits.
At NYU, Ian is in charge of Public Relations in the Tandon chapter of IEEE and is currently an active member of the Theta Tau professional engineering fraternity. This fall, Ian will also be starting a role in the Department of General Engineering as an undergraduate teaching assistant as well as an Orientation Leader who will support new Tandon students through their first weeks of college.
In his free time, you can find Ian at the rock climbing gym, going on hikes, or going out to enjoy live music. He is also part of a rock band where you can see him preforming around the Seattle area or recording in the studio with his friends.
