Bio:
Adithya Renjit is an undergraduate student at New York University pursuing a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and a minor in Mathematics. He is a member of the Global Leaders and Scholars in STEM (GLASS) program, where his interests center on using engineering, computation, and technology to address complex problems with practical impact.
He currently researches soft robotics, artificial intelligence, and mechatronic systems at NYU’s FAMS Lab and works with Rogue Aerospace on aerostructures. He also serves as a Teaching Assistant for NYU’s Engineering and Design program, where he supports students with CAD, soldering, and Arduino-based projects. Previously, he worked with an asset manager in Singapore, developing portfolio models and data pipelines alongside the Investment and Quant teams.
Through NYU and the GLASS program, Adithya has had the opportunity to study and work abroad in two different environments. He studied at NYU London during the Spring 2026 semester, followed by an internship in Singapore during the summer. Experiencing both cities in succession allowed him to develop a broader perspective on different cultures, academic environments, and professional settings, while also becoming more independent and adaptable.
For Adithya, being part of GLASS means having the opportunity to explore how his academic and professional interests can contribute to challenges that extend beyond borders. The global challenge that resonates most with him is developing resilient infrastructure and advancing innovation, reflected in UN Sustainable Development Goal 9, as he believes engineering and technology can play an important role in improving how communities live, work, and connect. He hopes to apply his skills in engineering, mathematics, and computing to develop practical solutions while working with people from different cultural and professional backgrounds.
Outside of academia, Adithya is a member of the London School of Economics Lacrosse 1’s team and enjoys playing Lacrosse recreationally. Adithya spends his free time playing pick-up basketball, having played competitively in Brunei, hiking, swimming, watching films, and weightlifting.
