Toshihiro Akashige is a laboratory manager for the department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering (CBE) at NYU Tandon School of Engineering. He works closely with the graduate research groups and principal investigators, and provides technical support to enable state-of-the-art research and laboratory operations for CBE. He was also a former student who earned his Ph.D. in chemical engineering in the very same lab he is working in today. His thesis involved gas separations utilizing electrochemically modulated membrane-electrode assembly. This work earned him fellowship in the NSF GRFP. He is also a coauthor of a heat transfer textbook, Kern’s Process Heat Transfer 2nd Edition.
