Kristy MacPhail serves as Chief Business Officer at NYU's Tandon School of Engineering and Office of Global Science and Technology (OGST). In this inaugural dual role, Kristy oversees strategic budgeting, financial management, and risk management in support of academic, research, and global science, technology, and engineering initiatives at the University.

With nearly two decades of experience in higher education, Kristy has spent most of those years as a member of the NYU community. Prior to joining Tandon and OGST, she began her NYU journey in financial leadership roles at Arts and Science, spent three years at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, and then returned to NYU as Chief Business and Operating Officer for the Courant Institute of Mathematical Sciences and Center for Data Science. Kristy also served various NYC government agencies including the NYC Mayor's Office of Management and Budget, the Department of Homeless Services, and the Fire Department of New York.

In addition to her professional affiliation with our university, she is a proud alumna: she holds an NYU Master of Public Administration degree, as well as a Bachelor of Science from Northwest Missouri State University.
