Website Requests
The School of Engineering website is built on a content management system (CMS) that lets approved users (generally faculty and staff) edit and create web pages. Additionally, the web team can assist with updating pages.
Update Web Pages
Two options are available:
- Request help from the web team : Send an email to engineering.webteam@nyu.edu with the URL of the page and an explanation of the needed edits. Please allow 2-5 business days.
- Get direct access to make changes: Contact engineering.webteam@nyu.edu if you need a web account created/activated. After reviewing Website Tutorials for Editors, you can log in, edit pages and email the web team with the URLs of the edited pages for review and publishing. Please allow 1-2 business days.
*Contact the web team before creating brand new pages.
Post an Event
Refer to Create an Event Page (NYU account required to view) or send the web team details of your event at least one week in advance. Events posted on the Tandon website automatically feed into the central NYU calendar.
Suggest a News Story
To share the latest news coming from your department, please reach out to the editorial team at engineering.editorial@nyu.edu with details and a contact to follow up with for further questions.
Create a Lab Website
NYU Web Publishing, a WordPress platform, offers a variety of website themes that can be used to build lab or research group websites. A Tandon-branded template is available by selecting "Create from a Template" and looking under the research category for "NYU Tandon Lab Template" as seen below:
The template is designed to provide a customizable foundation for labs to easily display their work.
NYU Web Publishing will manage your site’s hosting, security, and backend maintenance; and they offer training and support to get you started.
Once you have a lab website published, please send the web team the url, a brief description (25-50 words), and an image so that the lab can be included in Tandon's Labs and Groups Directory.
