K-12 STEM Education

We focus on developing lessons and techniques that bring together STEM disciplines and concepts through creative hands-on projects and experiments.

NYU Tandon's Center for K-12 STEM Education designs and delivers high-quality and innovative teaching and learning programs for students and educators in STEM disciplines.

For nearly 20 years – and with $20+ million in public, philanthropic and corporate funds  – our faculty and the Center for K-12 STEM Education have developed hands-on, project-based programs that allow young people to engage with STEM.

Our methodology focuses on utilizing the passion and expertise of staff and students at NYU Tandon to develop and teach the activity-based curricula to younger students and their teachers in order to encourage others to lead the programs on their own.

We offer a variety of hands-on programs to increase the number of highly qualified K-12 STEM teachers.

Our programs ignite a passion for STEM in K-12 students by using real-world connections and cutting-edge technology.
