NYU Wireless Director Honored Twice


Prof. Theodore Rappaport, EECS professor at NYU Tandon School of Engineering and founder of NYU Wireless, has received two awards for his research that has led to the development of 5G. IEEE has honored Rappaport with the 2020 Eric E. Sumner Award for outstanding contributions to communications technology. In addition, the Wireless History Foundation has selected Rappaport for induction into its Hall of Fame.
