New York Is Working on a Blueprint for Greener Buildings
Professor Semiha Ergan and C2SMART colleagues are leading a study with the NYC Mayor’s Office of Climate & Environmental Justice to establish New York's first embodied carbon benchmarks for construction, measuring lifecycle emissions from materials like concrete, steel, and glass as the city works toward halving its construction industry's carbon footprint by 2033.
