Professor Julian Togelius said that as AI takes over code writing, developers are shifting toward design and management roles — but that managing multiple AI agents can paradoxically erode their sense of agency: "Suddenly you're not really in control of your own time. It changes your relationship to work and actually gives you, in some bizarre way, less agency."
