EPA Wants to Prioritize Microplastics, Pharmaceuticals as Water Contaminants
Professor Miguel Modestino said that there are "many open scientific and engineering questions around microplastics and their impacts on health and on the environment" and that rigorous research is needed to understand the risks and how to mitigate them, comments made in the context of the EPA's move to add microplastics and pharmaceuticals to its drinking water contaminants watchlist.
