Adelle Lin

Adelle Lin Yingxi is a Malaysian artist, activist, and creative technologist based in Brooklyn. Trained in architecture and engineering, Adelle creates magical objects, responsive wearables and immersive installations that bridge the physical and digital realms. Their work, deeply inspired by Toni Cade Bambara's philosophy of "sister as a verb," fosters collaborative inquiry and action, tackling societal fragmentation, exclusion, environmental advocacy, and gender equity.

As a contributing member of several self-organizing communities such as Babycastles, NYCResistor, Code Liberation, and HexH0use, their practice intersects with concepts of collective bodies and the principles and actions that underlie their survival. Adelle holds a master's degree from NYU Tandon School of Engineering and has recently completed the NEW INC, the New Museum Incubator. Their most recent collaborative project Tonii: Embodying Responsibility, was a recipient of a Meta Open Arts grant towards Web3 research.
