The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst, centrally located in New Jersey, provides design, development, test, manufacture, fielding and sustainment mission ready naval Aviation Support Equipment and Aircraft Launch and Recovery Equipment that can be safely, effectively and efficiently operated and maintained by Sailors and Marines. We provide full life cycle support for critical fleet equipment to safely launch and recover aircraft from ships at sea and from austere expeditionary airfields. This unique and vital role provides the U.S. Navy and U.S. Marine Corps fleet the technologically superior and readily available tools necessary to operate safely and effectively from all operating vessels and facilities. In order to provide this support, we employ nearly 2,000 civilian and active duty military personnel. This highly trained workforce is made up of engineers and scientists, cybersecurity specialists, logisticians, contracts specialists, business and financial management support, program managers, and skilled artisans.
