You are cordially invited to attend the last FRE Lecture this semester. Henry Schwartz, president of Trade Alert LLC, will present a talk on the following topic:
The State of the US Listed Options Industry
Technology, competition, and regulation have forced a dramatic shift in the US Option market landscape in recent years. Today’s trading is highly automated and complex, with 15 exchanges aggressively competing for nearly 20M contracts daily. Drawing upon 30 years in the business and extensive proprietary datasets, Henry Schwartz will explore the critical factors in today’s marketplace and how participants from Wall Street to Main Street are adapting their activities to remain competitive.
Henry Schwartz is the president of Trade Alert LLC, a provider of real-time option data and analytics to leading market participants. His systems filter and augment low-latency exchange data to help professionals on the largest institutional trading desks identify and interpret market activity in real time, supporting informed trading decisions and intelligent idea generation.
He has held trading and management roles with Bank of America, Bear Stearns, Salomon Brothers and the Hull Group, and made markets on the CBOE and AMEX floors in the US, and EUREX and MONEP overseas.
