The New York Police Department (NYPD) will be on campus to register students' portable electronics as part of Operation Identification, which aims to curb device theft and assist with returning stolen devices to the rightful owner. This service is offered free of charge and involves registering the serial numbers of valuable portable electronics with the owners' names and contact information. Made possible by the Office of Public Safety.
