A Once-in-a-Lifetime Opportunity to Learn Engineering Basics with a Renowned Engineer and Astronaut in a 7-Week Summer Course at NYU-Poly

NASA Astronaut and Distinguished Engineer in Residence at the Polytechnic Institute of NYU, Dr. Charles Camarda, is teaming with key faculty from NYU-Poly and around the country to teach the art and science of engineering to high-school students in the greater NY area.  By concentrating on conceptual design, this course will explore that aspect of engineering which is very critical for program success and which occurs very early in the problem solution process. It draws from the creative side or right-hemisphere of our brain to conceive innovative solutions to complex, multidisciplinary problems and, by doing so, allows us to experience the joy of exploration and discovery.  The program is designed to instruct diverse teams to work together to rapidly explore, discover, learn and solve very complex problems by experimentation and failure.

The program will take place every Tuesday and Thursday from 9am - 1pm for 7 weeks (July 6 - August 20). Please apply for the program using the form below. You will be notified of your acceptance within a week. The $500 tuition will be due at the time of your acceptance.

APPLICATIONS FOR THIS PROGRAM ARE CLOSED.
