Attention NEW students! Welcome Week just ended, classes are beginning, and it feels like all the information you learned during Orientation just went over your head. Well, don’t worry – that’s where LAUNCH comes in! The purpose of LAUNCH is to prepare our first-year and transfer student communities to successfully launch their Tandon journey. The program spans the crucial first six weeks of the semester and is setup to be drop-in style, so you can come to one program or all 12!
LAUNCH sessions are one-hour on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 12:30-1:30pm in the MakerSpace Foyer (Rogers Hall, 1st Floor) and are open to ALL NEW STUDENTS - undergraduate and graduate students are welcome. Stop by for a few minutes or spend the hour getting to know more about Tandon - snacks, giveaways, and activities included!
Tuesday 9/3: Get Involved at Tandon - learn more about some of the leadership opportunities available to you at NYU Tandon before Club Fest!
Thursday 9/5: Be a Tandon VIP - come meet the Tandon Vetrically Integrated Project (VIP) teams that provide a multi-year, integrated approach to learning that emphasize project-based, interdisciplinary, research-active education.
Tuesday 9/10: Beyond the Classroom - find out more about how to get support for your academic goals, including tutoring, study away, honors, and more!
Thursday 9/12: Belonging at NYU - be a part of fostering a more inclusive, aware and socially just community here at Tandon!
Tuesday 9/17: #bornanywhere - you don't have to be born in Brooklyn to succeed here. If you are an international student, this is the day for you!
Thursday 9/19: #madeinBrooklyn - meet some of the NYU resources unique to Brooklyn that all students can take advantage of.
Tuesday 9/24: Career Development - we know you are here to find a job, so learn more about the resources to help you land the right one!
Thursday 9/26: Health and Wellness - taking care of your classwork is not enough! NYU is here to make sure your total person - mind, body, and soul - stays sharp!
Tuesday 10/1: Violets Vote - voting is an important civic duty so, we are providing important tools to make sure you are ready for the voting booth.
Thursday 10/3: Tandon Gives Back - NYU has endless opportunities to get involved and give back to our surrounding communities here in NYC or even abroad!
Tuesday 10/8: The (STEM) Future is Female - believe it or not, women are still underrepresented in STEM. Come learn how you can be an ally and advocate for your women-identified classmates.
Tuesday 10/10: Best of Brooklyn - the Brooklyn Tech Triangle has some of the best that NYC has to offer. Come down and meet some of our neighbors!
