Shravya Vorugallu is a Platform Engineer at Marsh McLennan, where she designs and operates cloud-native platforms that power large-scale enterprise applications. Her work focuses on Kubernetes, distributed systems, observability, infrastructure automation, and secure software delivery. Shravya has led initiatives that improve platform reliability, modernize cloud infrastructure, automate engineering workflows, and enhance the developer experience through AI-powered operational tools. She is also an active open-source contributor, with contributions to projects including Prometheus, Warewulf, NVIDIA DCGM
Exporter, and the Slurm Operator.
Shravya earned her master's degree from the NYU Tandon School of Engineering, where she developed a strong foundation in distributed systems, cloud computing, networking, and cybersecurity. She holds a bachelor's degree from BITS Pilani and is a Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH). Throughout her career, she has been passionate about building reliable systems that balance innovation, operational excellence, and security while enabling
engineering teams to deliver software at scale.
As an NYU alumna, Shravya values the community, mentorship, and opportunities that shaped her professional journey, enjoys supporting students and early-career engineers through mentorship, technical knowledge sharing, and career guidance, and believes strong alumni engagement creates lasting opportunities for both students and graduates.
As a member of the NYU Tandon Polytechnic Alumni Association International Board of Directors, Shravya hopes to strengthen connections between alumni, students, and industry, expand mentorship and professional development opportunities, and help foster a global alumni network that supports innovation, lifelong learning, and the continued success of the NYU Tandon community.
