Global Challenge: Advance Personalized Learning, Enhance Virtual Reality

Abstract:

During my time as a GLASS scholar, I focused on Quality Education, Emerging Media, and XR technologies to enhance cultural preservation and education. My experience spanned multiple global locations, including studying abroad at NYU Shanghai in 2023 and participating in the Leeds International Summer School in 2024. I took on leadership roles as a Site Ambassador and Study Away Program Assistant, honing my intercultural communication and event programming skills.
Beyond academics, I engaged in service work through alternative breaks in Sri Lanka and Peru, where I contributed to environmental conservation and educational justice. In Sri Lanka, I supported marine life sustainability through beach cleanups and turtle hatchery maintenance. In Peru, I assisted daycare schools by creating educational materials and improving learning spaces.

As a Teaching Assistant for the Digital Media Intellect VIP team, I facilitated communication and managed video production projects. My internship with Tianzige NGO in Shanghai allowed me to support rural education through design and website development. Additionally, attending HarvardXR 2024 deepened my understanding of AI and XR applications in education and heritage.
Through GLASS, I expanded my expertise in digital media, immersive technology, and global education, strengthening my passion for innovation and cross-cultural collaboration.
