With the vast amount of sensitive data now stored in the digital universe — everything from social security numbers to matters of national security — it’s critical that we ensure this information is secure and protected. For computer networks and electronic infrastructures, cybersecurity experts stand as the last and most effective line of defense against malicious cyber attacks.

The cybersecurity field is expected to generate many new jobs over the next decade as industry and government continue to emphasize safe data and information systems. Cybersecurity professionals can thrive in a career as a developer of security products, security application programmer, security analyst, and penetration tester. You can also pursue work as a security researcher, vulnerability analyst, or security architect, or continue your studies.

Pathway to a Master’s in Cybersecurity

The NYU Tandon Bridge Program is your pathway to pursuing a Cybersecurity Master's Degree (including the NYU Cyber Fellows program) at NYU Tandon and a career in this essential field.

Our classes are taught by internationally known experts and we have been designated an NSA Center of Excellence in Information Assurance, a Center of Excellence in Research, and a Center of Excellence in Cyber Operations.

The NYU Tandon Bridge program starts every winter (January), spring (April), and summer (July). Bridge students who wish to apply for a masters degree must submit an M.S. application. For more information please see our Applying to a Master’s Degree from Bridge webpage.

The M.S. in Cybersecurity at NYU Tandon is a two-year, 30-credit program, offered on-campus, online, or blended. Please note that the NYU Cyber Fellows program, which offers a 75% tuition scholarship, is only available online. Our Cybersecurity program curriculum is rooted in the belief that theory and research must translate into real-world solutions.
