- Lecture Capture
NYU Tandon offers lecture capture in select classrooms. Lectures are automatically recorded and uploaded to the Media Gallery in NYU Brightspace for enrolled students. These recordings support learning by allowing students to review material and fill in gaps—but they are not a substitute for attending class.- Lecture capture is available in the following rooms managed by Media Services:
2 MetroTech Center: Rooms 817, 828, and 911
5 MetroTech Center: Pfizer Auditorium
6 MetroTech Center (Jacobs Hall): Rooms 202, 204, 215, 304, 315, 474, and 475
Faculty assigned to these rooms are automatically enrolled. To opt out, email SOE-lecturecapture@nyu.edu.
To request a room with lecture capture, contact your department scheduler during course scheduling.
We recommend notifying students that recordings will be available in the Media Gallery of your Brightspace course site.

Whether you're building a course site or creating engaging multimedia content, our team is here to help. Faculty, staff, and course assistants can schedule one-on-one consultations with NYU Tandon’s Instructional Designers and Educational Technologists for support with Brightspace setup, content reuse, teaching strategies, video/audio production, accessibility, and more. NYU Center for Teaching and Learning
The NYU Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL), located in the Academic Resource Center at 18 Washington Place, is a University-wide hub advancing inclusive, student-centered, evidence-based teaching.
The CTL has launched a university-wide initiative, How We Teach, to reflect on, share, and strengthen teaching practices.
