Recent tech layoffs shown that hiring in large amounts can be detrimental, as what's true for business today may not be the case in the future. There is a need for better forecasting that takes into consideration micro- and macro-economic factors. Students analyzed how to utilize internal and external data to better forecast the shapes organizations could take to prevent future mass layoffs.
