Transparent Soils Lab
Description
Research in the Transparent Soils lab focuses on two areas of geotechnical research:
- Modeling of soil structure interaction and flow using transparent soil surrogates
- Foundation engineering
This includes work on the high-strain rate behavior of soils, applications of machine learning in geotechnics, dynamic image analysis, tunneling, seismic earth pressure, and soil structure interaction of rigidly framed structures.
