Doug leads fabrication and advanced manufacturing education for students across the school. He had previously served as the Laboratory and Technician Manager for the Albert Nerken School of Engineering at the Cooper Union, coordinating over forty laboratory spaces as well as teaching ME312, Manufacturing Engineering. Doug studied Astrophysics at Columbia University, where he was an integral part of the optics team for NASA's NuSTAR orbital x-ray observatory. He has been part of the planning and operation of multiple makerspaces and fabrication labs across New York City. Doug is also devoted to bolstering local small businesses by providing design and fabrication assistance.
