Research Question

Where do delivery workers congregate in public space, and how do their interactions with those spaces affect their wellbeing and health? The project combines mobility data analytics with surveys and focus groups to evaluate the use and impact of public spaces designed for delivery workers.

Background

This project is a collaboration with the NYC DOT Sustainable Delivery Unit.

Methodology

The project involves:

  • Using mobility data analytics to identify public spaces where delivery workers congregate.
  • Conducting surveys and focus group interviews to understand how workers interact with these spaces.
  • Assessing how those interactions affect workers' wellbeing and health.

Deliverables

  • Assessment of interactions between delivery workers' health and access to public space

Data Sources

  • Mobility data
  • Surveys and focus group interviews with delivery workers
