Reprint Bot (GY)

  • Prototyping a standalone system that recycles used plastic bottles in order to use the material for 3D printing purposes

6 step process of how a plastic bottle is turned in to filament that is used in a 3D printer

Our VIP group, known as RePrint Bot, is dedicated to pushing the boundaries of 3D printing technology. We focus on creating an integrated, standalone 3D printing system that excels in speed, accuracy, and efficiency with the least amount of lead time. Our goal is to deliver cost-effective and energy-efficient products while demonstrating adaptability in handling a wide range of recyclable plastic materials. Members of the group will learn and develop technology skills regarding to additive technology, structural analysis and topology optimization.

As part of our commitment to innovation, we enthusiastically join the prestigious Student Additive Manufacturing Contest at The Society for the Advancement of Material and Process Engineering (SAMPE) and others. The competitions serve as a platform for us to showcase our groundbreaking work and compete against other leading teams in the field. Join us on this thrilling journey as we work towards revolutionizing the world of 3D printing and leave an indelible mark in the realm of additive manufacturing.
