Designing for Creative Physical Computing (GY)
-
Researching the design of tools and activities for learning and creating with physical computing
The team explores the design of both the physical and digital space in order to support the integration of computing into artistic practices and creations. For example, creating a physical computing learning environment that supports the exploration of poetry, mural design, or dance; or, supporting entrepreneurs to design and create embedded devices more seamlessly in order to quickly test hypotheses within their market segment.. The students involved in this project examine the hardware, software, and physical design of tools for providing non-experts with flexibility, agency, self-efficacy, and knowledge to build creative designs with computing.
