Women's Volleyball Drops a Pair at NYU Tourney
Lady Jays fall to 1-2
New York, NY - It was a rematch of last year's first-round of the NCAA Tournament in Women's Volleyball and unfortunately for NYU-Poly, it was the same outcome. A well balanced attack by NYU and some early season miscues by the Lady Jays ended in a 3-0 win for the Lady Violets in the opening match of the NYU Tournament on Friday.
Later in the day, SUNY Geneseo was able to defeat NYU-Poly in a very close non-conference contest. The Lady Knights won in straight sets 26-24, 25-19, and 26-24.
NYU (1-0) won by scores of 25-13, 25-11, 25-18.
