Women's Volleyball Cruises Past Old Westbury

Brooklyn, NY - Senior Meredith Shipman (Sugarland, TX) paced a frenzied NYU-Poly attack Tuesday night as she racked up 15 kills helping the NYU-Poly Women's Volleyball sweep visiting Old Westbury in a Skyline Conference match up. NYU-Poly improves to 2-0 in the conference while the Lady Panthers fall to 0-1.

NYU-Poly won in straight sets 25-14, 25-14, and 25-17.

Sophomore Nicole Breitbart (Ridgewood, NJ) picked up a game-high 21 assists and added 10 digs, while junior Victoria Kalvert (Missouri City, TX) had a well-balanced night as she served four aces, while adding six kills and eight digs. Junior Melissa Pona (Staten Island, NY) also had a big night on the floor racking up 16 digs.

NYU-Poly returns to action this weekend with a Saturday tri-match at Montclair State, starting at 11:00am.
