Coming this fall, New York City will launch a 2,000-square-foot clean tech incubator called the Clean Technology Entrepreneur Center with intensions to hold space for 20 startups that focus on clean and green technologies, according to local media.
Through a partnership between the city’s Economic Development Corp. (NYCEDC) and the Polytechnic Institute of New York University, the incubator will open shop in Forest City Ratner’s 15 MetroTech. The facility is located in DUMBO – short for Down Under the Manhattan Bridge Overpass – a neighborhood in Brooklyn.
The NYCEDC will pay $750,000 over the next two years to help fund the project.
