St Joseph's Smacks NYU-Poly
Jays loses first Skyline match
Flushing, NY - Going into Wednesday night's Skyline Conference match with St. Joseph's, NYU-Poly's men's tennis squad knew its would have to play it's best match of the season to defeat the Golden Eagles. Unfortunately, that didn't happen as St. Joseph's almost ran the table on the Jays, winning 8-1.
The lone bright spot was first singles, where sophomore Yan Krasny (Far Rockaway, NY) remained perfect on the season with a hard fought 7-6 (7-2), 6-4 victory over Dan Celentano.
The Jays (3-2, Skyline 2-1) travel to Merchant Marine Academy on Friday for a non-conference match.
