SAAC Partners With Special Olympics

BROOKLYN, NY -  The NYU-Poly Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) welcomed members of the NYC Special Olympics to campus and presented it with a $200.00 donation that SAAC recently raised from the NYU-Poly community.

In addition, the NYU-Poly athletic department and student-athletes will become active partners with the Special Olympics of NYC, volunteering at sports competitions, fundraising, and spreading awareness for the Special Olympics and their nearly 30,000 members in the metro area.

Presenting the check to Special Olympic organizers was sophomore Vice-President  Shelby Bruns (Elko, NV) and freshmen Treasurer Rishi Sarkar (Cherry Hill, NJ).
